Preparations for the 22nd Health Informatics Society Ireland Conference are underway.
This year’s conference will take place on the 15th and 16th of November 2017 at the Croke Park Conference Centre.

The HISI Conference is a must-attend event for anyone working or affiliated with the health sector.

It facilitates the largest gathering of healthcare professionals each year. Through it’s combination of expert presentations, plenary sessions, academic papers, panels and workshops, it provides a stimulating environment for all healthcare professionals to discuss and debate emerging issues in health. It’s broad scope means that everyone form nurses to university students
can contribute.

 

HISI seeks high-quality paper and poster contributions for the 2017 HISI Annual Conference. Papers submitted should be of high quality, representing the best in Irish Health Informatics research into eHealth, mHealth and Health Interoperability. Contributions can be theoretical or empirical in nature, and from a variety of perspectives: legal, societal, cultural, commercial, technical, etc. With a view to furthering Health Informatics research, papers submitted should aim to reflect upon challenges in the field and propose solutions where possible.

The deadline for abstract submission is September 30th 2017.

Submission guidelines:

Posters will also be accepted in size A0, portrait. Please state paper or poster on your submission.

  • English language, all references      correct, 200-300 word abstract limit.
  • Graphs and images should be      included in the article and as separate files.
  • References should be      included.
  • Submissions should be in      digital format (.doc or .rtf) and sent to info@hisi.ie

We would like to invite expressions of interest from multidisciplinary team colleagues, working with older people, to submit exemplars of integrated care pertaining to frail older people, from their various services.  This is a wonderful opportunity to present your work with regard to improving quality of care for older people in the wider healthcare community.  The conference will bring together 200 delegates from across the spectrum of healthcare, to include those working in the service and recipients of the service.

Oral Presentation

Successful submissions will be invited to present their project within a 20 minute slot.

 

Poster Presentation

A prize for the best poster display will be awarded by the judging panel
